We are delighted to announce our involvement in the Commonwealth Healthy Ageing Investment Fund (CHAIF) — an ambitious new initiative designed to invest in and scale innovations that can improve health and healthy ageing across the life course and across Commonwealth populations, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries.
We are privileged to be working alongside Milltrust Ventures and Simon Hopkins, an exceptional and highly experienced fund manager, and to support CommonAge through its Commonwealth Ageing with Creativity and Technology initiative.
The initiative is being developed under the auspices of David Stevens, CEO of Standards Wise International, Andrew Larpent OBE, founder of CommonAge, and Mansur Dalal, leading international expert, author, and advocate for senior living and elder care. Together this incredible team brings together deep experience across the Commonwealth, healthy ageing and dementia care. We are also delighted that Dame Carol Black is chairing the Advisory Committee.
CHAIF is distinctive not only in its Commonwealth-wide focus, but also in its ambition to bring together commercial and mission-led capital to help promising health, medtech and digital health companies move from innovation to population-scale impact.
R8ER's role will draw on our network of leading clinical, scientific, technical and commercial experts to help identify and rigorously assess promising health technologies and businesses with the potential to scale.
It was a privilege to come together at Marlborough House, the home of the Commonwealth Secretariat, as we work towards making this vision a reality.
Our shared ambition: scaling healthy ageing across the Commonwealth.
